Electrical Engineering Technician Job Overview

This role involves working as a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to maintain and repair control, instrumentation, and monitoring systems across the power station.


Working closely with the Technician Team Leader, colleagues of the Control System team, and other key stakeholders, you will contribute your technical skills and operational expertise to ensure optimal operation of these systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide priority breakdown maintenance and support for control, instrumentation, and monitoring systems.
  • Diagnose faults, resolve defects, and conduct routine maintenance.
  • Develop and implement software and hardware modifications for plant systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant modifications, conditions, and prepare training materials for skills development.

Requirements:
  • Electrical Trade Certificate and at least 50% completion of an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Advanced trade skills and hands-on experience with power station equipment.
  • Fault diagnosis and technical problem-solving for complex control systems.
  • Effective communication, safety awareness, and ability to work independently.
