About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified chef to join our kitchen team at our state-of-the-art facility. The successful candidate will assist the Team Leader in maintaining high standards of catering and food preparation, ensuring quality and variety of food with optimal resource use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare meals according to dietary requirements for residents
  • Presentation of high-quality dishes
  • Maintaining a customer-focused approach to service
  • Adhering to effective and efficient operations
  • Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a caring attitude. You will also be required to work independently and in a team environment, exercise sound judgement, and make decisions based on accurate information in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III or Cert IV Commercial Cookery
  • Proven track record working in accordance with various state-based health regulations and the Food Safety Act
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency at catering for 200 plus people
  • Ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with Cook Chill Services
