Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our emergency response team as an Auxiliary Firefighter.
This role is ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about serving their community.
- As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, participating in regular training sessions, and maintaining the required attendance standards.
- You will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality fire, rescue, and emergency management services.
Key Responsibilities:

- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses, ensuring you have the skills and knowledge to perform your role effectively.
- Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training, demonstrating your commitment to the team and the community.
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
Requirements- Australian Permanent Resident Status, allowing you to contribute to the community while upholding local laws and regulations.
- A manual C-Class driver's license, enabling you to transport equipment and respond to emergencies efficiently.
- Residence or employment within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station, facilitating quick response times and reducing travel-related challenges.
- Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies, ensuring seamless integration with existing work schedules.

Our Expectations- Attend incident and emergency calls, committing to a minimum of 50% of calls as a day worker or 30% as a shift worker.
- Regularly participate in drill and training sessions, ensuring you stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and procedures.
- Obtain an MRV license within 12 months of employment, investing in your professional development and enhancing your skills.
- Engage in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs, including first aid and emergency care, further enriching your capabilities.
