The Role: Operations Field Support

This role suits either entry-level candidates or individuals with experience in rock tools or underground mining. As part of our team, you will be engaged in direct customer service and operational activities related to Rock Tools (ROTO). Comprehensive training will equip you with the necessary skills to succeed.

You will have the opportunity to apply Sandvik-specific knowledge and services in support of mining customers. Potential career paths include promotion to higher operations levels, sales, service, supervisory, or management positions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily driving underground and managing drill consumables to drill rigs and sites
  • Managing drilling consumable inventories
  • Accurately recording daily data through Sandvik's iPad data systems
  • Analyzing and reporting on drilling consumable performance, condition, and failures
  • Engaging positively with client mining operators
  • Sorting, analyzing, recording, and servicing used drill bits and consumables
Essential Requirements:
  • Valid manual C Class Driver's license
  • FIFO roster reliability (8 days on/6 days off – 12-hour days, day shift only)
  • Fitness/capacity for work (employment medicals arranged by Sandvik required)
  • Ability to safely lift minimum of 40 kg
  • Ability to pass a police clearance and drug test
  • Working rights for Australia
  • High customer focus and positive service orientation and attitude
  • Able to perform independently and in teams
  • Adaptable and resilient
  • Strong English communication skills
