Emergency Care Specialist Opportunity

A part-time Career Medical Officer is sought to provide safe and effective emergency care to patients in the Emergency Department.

About This Role:

  • Provision of emergency care to patients with a range of conditions, including shock, cardiac arrest, and trauma
  • Management of adult and pediatric emergencies, including rapid sequence endotracheal intubation and invasive ventilation
  • Performance of procedural skills, such as ultrasound-guided insertion of central lines and arterial lines, thoracentesis, and thoracostomy placement
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration

Key Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Five years postgraduate hospital experience
  • Experience in emergency medicine, enabling safe management as the most senior person in a mixed Adult / Paediatric Emergency Department
