About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Service Department in Townsville, Queensland. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing services, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of Komatsu mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing services, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Komatsu mobile equipment
  • Maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Testing and adjusting machine operation and monitoring systems
  • Coordinating site-based equipment maintenance projects
  • Generating technical/service reports
Requirements
  • Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar
  • Technical understanding of Komatsu equipment
  • Knowledge and experience repairing and maintaining earthmoving equipment or components
  • Post-trade field service experience
  • Current C category car license with view to upgrade to MR license
  • Ability to obtain current tickets, including first aid, forklift, work at heights, etc.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to work in remote areas and unsupervised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and understanding of computer basic systems
