Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Field Service Technician. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing services, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of Komatsu mobile equipment. You will also be required to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency, as well as test and adjust machine operation and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing services, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Komatsu mobile equipment
  • Maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Testing and adjusting machine operation and monitoring systems
  • Coordinating site-based equipment maintenance projects
  • Generating technical/service reports

Requirements
  • Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar
  • Technical understanding of Komatsu equipment
  • Knowledge and experience repairing and maintaining earthmoving equipment or components
  • Post-trade field service experience desirable
  • Current C category car licence with view to upgrade to MR licence as required
  • Ability to obtain all current tickets, including first aid, forklift, work at heights, etc.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety with ability to work in remote areas and unsupervised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and understanding of computer basic systems
