About Our Senior Accountant Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As a key member of our Private Business Family Advisory division, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our clients.

This is an outstanding opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounting and wealth management to drive business growth and success. You will work closely with our Private Clients and Wealth Management teams to deliver high-quality compliance services and support SMSF advisers on advisory projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues across our Private Business Family Advisory team, providing consultative advice and support.
  • Assist and support offshore teams with preparation of SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member's Statements.
  • Review and assist with queries on client work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Data entry and processing within our integrated accounting system.
  • Prepare and administer SMSF BAS, IAS, and PAYG Payment Summaries.
  • Liaise with external auditors and other regulatory bodies such as the ATO and ASIC.
  • Manage your workflow effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Support the administration team with SMSF-related documentation.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years' experience in business services for SMSF clients.
  • High-level written and spoken communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to problem-solve and provide solutions to our leadership team.
  • Confident manner and ability to interface with clients and earn their respect.
  • Able to interpret financial data and respond to queries where required.
  • Experience in SMSF software, preferably BGL 360 or Class Super.
  • Able to multitask and respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner.
