About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electronic Equipment/Field Service Technician to join our team. This full-time role will have you providing on-site maintenance and repair services for diverse equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and testing equipment and instruments
  • Adjusting and repairing equipment and replacing worn and defective parts
  • Re-assembling, testing, operating and adjusting customer equipment
  • Calibrating equipment according to technical manuals and written instructions
  • Maintaining all plant and equipment in field and workshop
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on a range of equipment including access, forklifts, generators, compressors, and earthmoving machinery
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field & workshop
  • Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work undertaken
  • Provide timely and effective customer service to clients
  • Assist with the delivery and pick-up of equipment as needed
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated high level initiative and strong organizational skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and provide solutions to a range of plant and equipment issues
  • Formal qualifications in automotive or mechanical engineering, or related trade certification
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a related role as a service technician
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to various work sites
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
