
Culturally Responsive Psychologist Leader

The Senior Psychologist will play a key role in leading the delivery of culturally responsive services to children and young people. This involves working closely with schools, preschools, and the community to provide support and guidance on implementing evidence-based psychological interventions.
This position requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to recruit, retain, and develop a team of psychologists who are committed to delivering high-quality services. The successful candidate will have expertise in educational and developmental psychology, as well as clinical psychology and counselling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of a service model that supports the provision of integrated and targeted services to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs.
- Provide delegated line management, professional support, and supervision to psychologists and other staff members.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
Requirements:
- Current full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.
- Area of practice endorsement – education and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology.

Other Information:
- The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check prior to being employed.
- The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN – EC Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online Fundamentals course.
