As a key member of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team, you will be responsible for helping Startups scale quickly and cost-effectively on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Key Responsibilities- Hire and Develop a Team of Excellent Solutions Architects: Lead a team of talented Solutions Architects who work with Startups in the APJ region to adopt AWS technologies.
- Interact with CxO/VP Level Executives and Developers: Build relationships with CxO/VP level executives and developers to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
- Provide Technical Thought Leadership: Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
- Develop and Deploy Programs: Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field Solution Architect teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
- Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical Teams: Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ Years Technical Experience: 10+ years of technical development, design, and implementation experience.
- 7+ Years Leadership Experience: 7+ years of experience leading high-performance teams in a matrixed organization.
- 7+ Years Management Experience: 7+ years of management of technical, customer-facing resources.
- 7+ Years Technology Experience: 7+ years of experience with at least two of the following technology categories: Compute, Containers, Analytics, Database, AI/ML, Storage.
- Startup Background: Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity.
- Familiarity with Open-Source Software: Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies common to Startups.
- Strong Data-Based Storytelling Skills: Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
- Cloud Expertise: Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Advanced Degree: Advanced degree highly preferred.
