Job Overview

The role of a Staff Specialist is to provide high-quality patient care and clinical leadership within our organization.

  • You will be responsible for delivering contemporary comprehensive specialist anaesthesia services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Additionally, you will participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

The ideal candidate will have recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia and be able to provide comprehensive anaesthesia services within all hospitals of the Network Surgical Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Anaesthetist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
  • Effective communication skills through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time.
