Community Outreach Specialist

This is a North Brisbane based project offering an opportunity to work with a well-respected contractor.

The selected candidate will be the face of the project as the main point of contact for the community, responsible for developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, regulatory bodies, and project partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of community engagement on all activities and project works
  • Liaise with different stakeholders (Government, property owners, local residents & community)
  • Main point of contact for the project for all community & stakeholder queries
  • Manage and maintain the upkeep of community engagement system
  • Work closely with Engineers / Project Manager to ensure delivery of project is in line with community engagement plan and adheres to legislative & safety requirements
  • Present project updates at community meetings and represent contractor in a favourable way
  • Report community feedback to project teams
  • Prepare publications, newsletters, presentations, media information and manage postal drops

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role within civil construction is required. DTMR or similar experience is highly favourable. Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar are desired. This person will be organised, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships with different stakeholders.
