Job Overview

Senior Mining Engineers play a pivotal role in mine planning and execution at our underground copper-gold operation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production plans that meet key performance indicators.
  • Evaluate short-term plans against medium- and long-term objectives.
  • Analyze deposit characteristics to recommend optimal mining methods.
  • Utilize computer-aided design software to create comprehensive mine plans.
  • Verify designs with surveyors to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Mine Superintendent and Technical Services personnel on plan implementation and targeted production.
  • Maintain rigorous ventilation standards for dust and gas removal.
  • Anticipate and address potential issues proactively.
  • Facilitate coordination between Mine Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to production engineers.
About You
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) degree is required.
  • Experience in underground stope mining is essential.
  • Advanced computer skills, preferably in Deswik, are necessary.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative requirements is expected.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, and organized individuals are preferred.
