We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team at The Rose Hotel & Motel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to meet the needs of our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the needs of our guests, including menu items and special requests.
  • Work effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of all kitchen duties.
  • Liaise with Chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food to guests.
  • Operate kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our food operations.
  • Participate in stock control and minimize wastage.
Venue Security and Compliance
  • Understand and maintain venue access and security of food stock.
  • Maintain alarm codes, venue keys, and other access requests.
Safety
  • Comply with food safety policy and procedures (HACCP).
  • Participate in regular safety meetings with heads of departments present.
  • Follow kitchen systems, policies, and procedures on shift.
Personal Presentation
  • Presentation of self in accordance with the venue's dress standards.
  • Respond to requests to perform other tasks that contribute to the overall success of the venue's operations.
  • Maintain service standards during peak periods.
  • Maintain a 'Can-do' attitude in the face of adversity.
Performance Review
  • Performance reviews will be part of your commitment to the position, including regular scheduled and unscheduled check-ins.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Ideal applicants must have at least 2 years of experience, but all applicants with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Additional experience is required where the applicant does not have a relevant formal qualification.
  • All relevant experience will be considered for the Cook role.
  • A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • The ability to excel under pressure in a high-volume environment with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on consistency.
  • We ask that you are open and honest in all dealings to the advantage of both you and the business.
Salary

The Annual Salary range is from $63,000 to $76,000 commensurate to qualifications, skills, and experience.
