Job Title: Project Coordination Specialist
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the management and planning of extended track possessions across all Cross River Rail work packages. This role requires close collaboration with delivery contractors and key stakeholders, including Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Rail, to ensure timely delivery staging that aligns with operational, customer, and project priorities.
Given the significant pipeline of rail projects in South East Queensland, this role will also work closely with Transport and Main Roads to ensure integrated delivery and consideration of cumulative impacts across the rail network.
This is a fixed-term contract opportunity with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities- Chair multi-agency working groups to develop and endorse possession applications and monitor readiness.
- Support contractors in applications for extended possessions, including justification of track access.
- Apply governance frameworks to ensure informed and transparent decision-making.
- Coordinate state agencies to optimise possessions during low-demand periods.
- Monitor risks and changes in construction schedules and develop contingency planning.
- Prepare feasibility assessments, options analyses and readiness assurance documentation.
- Present structured information to the Delivery Sequencing Steering Committee.
- Report progress and escalate risks to the Senior Possessions and Delivery Sequencing Manager.
- Manage team deliverables, KPIs, and professional development.
