Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Orthopaedics Ward team at Newcastle Private Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing orthopaedic and surgical procedures
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Supervise and direct nursing team members to deliver patient care
- Proactively assess and improve perioperative nursing care to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with local and national policies
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-registration experience
- Demonstrated experience working in an acute surgical setting, including orthopaedics, bariatrics, or neurosurgery
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives using research principles to support evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team and advocate for individualized patient-centered care
- Advanced communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to work a seven-day roster, including night duty
