Senior Mental Health Clinician - Orygen @ Home Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our multidisciplinary team as a Senior Mental Health Clinician in the Orygen @ Home program.

This is an ongoing full-time opportunity with salary packaging, monthly ADO, and excellent work-life balance.

About the Role

The Senior Mental Health Clinician will provide comprehensive clinical acute mental health care to young people and their families within the home environment. You will be responsible for leading a rotating roster of staff and providing discipline-specific interventions and recovery-focused care.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior clinicians
  • Partner with young people and their families to deliver inpatient-like care at home
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in mental health assessment, risk assessment, therapeutic interventions, and least restrictive practices
  • Supervise and support mental health clinicians
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement client-centered service plans
  • Conduct integrated assessments, treatment, and care for consumers with complex mental health needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide supervision and support to early career entry-level clinicians
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree (RPN4/AH3) or registration and/or membership as per attached Position Description
  • 5 years' experience in clinical practice as a mental health/psychiatric nurse, preferably with young people
  • Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families
