Teaching Opportunity in a Christian Education Setting

Casino Christian School is a K-12 educational institution with a diverse range of learners. Located in the semi-rural setting of North Casino, we provide families from surrounding areas with an opportunity for high-quality, Christian education.

We are seeking a committed Christian to join our teaching team as a Secondary Teacher. The successful applicant will have well-developed organisational skills, digital literacy, and the ability to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate will possess teaching qualifications from a higher education institution within Australia or be recognised within the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition guidelines. They will also be appropriately registered with NESA and hold a current Working with Children Check.

Job Description:
  • Teach allocated classes to the best of ability
  • Teach extra and in lieu of periods as required
  • Playground and bus duties as per rostered arrangement
  • Attend parent/teacher interviews and staff meetings
  • Supervise extra and co-curricular activities
  • Work professionally, adhering to school systems and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Fulfill reporting requirements by due dates
  • Maintain accreditation with NESA
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Principal
Personal and Professional Growth:
  • Develop a greater understanding of Christ-centered education
  • Participate in professional development to provide best practice education
Curriculum Development:
  • Maintain and add to teaching programs relevant to subjects
  • Collaboratively plan scope and sequences, teaching programs, and assessment
Student Welfare:
  • Keep the Principal informed of student needs and progress
  • Discipline and counsel students as needed
  • Liaise with parents regarding student welfare
  • Maintain consistent structure and standards for students
