About the Role:

The Fleet Maintenance Technician is a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, pickups, deliveries, and maintaining equipment to ensure it is always ready for hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct and demonstrate to customers on safe equipment use, ensuring they understand the proper operation and maintenance requirements.\
  • Perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, loading and unloading safely while adhering to quality control procedures.\
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions, responding promptly to queries and resolving issues efficiently.\
  • Maintain equipment quality through regular servicing and minor repairs, identifying potential problems before they become major issues.\
  • Clean branch facilities and maintain equipment as required, adhering to health and safety standards.\
  • Conduct equipment 'check in' and 'check out' inspections to ensure accurate inventory management and prevent losses.\

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.\
  • Availability to work weekends on a rotating roster, ensuring 24/7 operations are maintained.\
  • Physical fitness, ability to pass a drug test, and willingness to perform physical components such as lifting and standing.\
  • Strong communication skills, proactivity, and a keenness to learn new skills, including technical training and certification programs.\
  • Interest in machinery and equipment (training provided), with a focus on preventive maintenance and repair techniques.\
  • Positive attitude and team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.\
