Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our team in Sydney. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for the overall performance of an operational site in order to achieve all agreed financial + operational objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities
- To manage, plan, organize, staff, and direct warehouse activities at the site.
- To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service, and profit.
- To ensure your teams deliver against their customer, site, and people KPI.
- To drive all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention, and operational excellence by collaborating at a site level.
- To drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, ensuring your site meets or exceeds its productivity targets.
- To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support the closing of new business.
- To oversee the safe operation of warehousing activities across the site, ensuring the correct skills and training are in place and are compliant with health/safety/environment legislation and standards.
- To undertake any other tasks required by management.
- To implement site programs issued under the KNExcellence/Production System banner.
- To drive site certification roadmaps and excellence initiatives.
- To support and participate in activities directed at reaching agreed, annual, site targets.
- To actively draft and complete Continuous Improvement projects as Project Leader.
- To train personnel in compliance with required Lean Six-Sigma ratios and standards for the site.

Additionally, you will possess:
- A minimum of five years' experience in a local transport or 3PL organization is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Exceptional people management and conflict resolution abilities.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of safety processes and protocols.
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively.
- A background in training and coaching is desirable.
