We are seeking a senior leader to drive the development of our city's infrastructure and assets.

About the Role

The Director Assets and Infrastructure will lead a high-performing directorate responsible for the strategic planning, delivery, and management of Council's assets, infrastructure, and public spaces. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of city infrastructure, ensuring public services and facilities operate smoothly.

This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality public spaces and infrastructure through efficient operations, innovative project delivery, and sustainable design.

You will deliver outcomes that align with our Community Strategic Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan.

  • City Presentation and Operational Services oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance of city infrastructure, ensuring public services and facilities operate smoothly.
  • City Technical Services is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Council's Capital Works Program, providing overall coordination and project delivery.
  • Strategic Placemaking is our asset management team responsible for the strategic management, planning, and optimisation of Council's assets to ensure their long-term functionality, sustainability, and alignment with community needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the City's infrastructure and assets strategy.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of city infrastructure.
  • Manage the Council's depot-based functions, including Civil Maintenance, Parks and Sports Field Maintenance, Fleet Management, and Operational Procurement.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality public spaces and infrastructure through efficient operations, innovative project delivery, and sustainable design.
Requirements
  • A proven senior leader in infrastructure and asset management.
  • Ability to inspire, influence, and foster a culture of performance, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
