The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Agitator Driver to join our team at Holcim. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of concrete to our customers. Your expertise in operating specialized vehicles, such as agitators, will ensure the timely and safe transportation of concrete from our plants to construction sites.
Key Responsibilities- Safety First: Safely operate agitator trucks to deliver concrete to various locations, adhering to all traffic regulations and maintaining a clean driving record.
- Logistics Coordination: Follow prescribed delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries to construction sites, inspecting vehicles before and after each trip, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, building positive relationships with clients, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and paperwork.
- Physical Demands: Possess the physical ability to load and unload concrete as necessary.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively in a fast-paced environment and managing time efficiently.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Valid HR Driver's License: Hold a valid and clean HR driver's license.
- Professional Driving Experience: Proven experience as a professional driver with a minimum of 6 months on-road HR experience, ideally with experience in operating agitator trucks.
- Road Safety Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Physical Ability: Be physically able to load and unload concrete as necessary.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time Management: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
