Job Title: Child Protection Central Information Point Officer
The Child Protection CIP Officer will work in a multi-disciplinary team co-located in the CIP Operations Unit, with staff from Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, and the Magistrates' Court of Victoria. The team provides a summary of targeted information upon request from family violence agencies.
The CIP Officer accesses the Child Protection Client Relationship Information System (CRIS) to assess and collate family violence information. This information contributes to a consolidated report that helps form a comprehensive family violence risk assessment to keep victim survivors of family violence safe.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide relevant advice on data held within DFFH databases, summarising information to support risk assessment and management of family violence.
- Input and contribute to the preparation of CIP reports including the appropriate analysis of available information in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the department and work in collaboration with key stakeholders.
