Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for setting up tools and operating machinery to meet production demands or die correction.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret technical drawings and instructions to understand specifications of task
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions to complete task
  • Accurately identify tools / equipment required, measure and mark materials required for job
  • Check fabricated and assembled metal components for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
  • Set up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and accurately set controls

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification in Metal Machining with minimum 3 years' experience
  • In-depth knowledge of metal and other material properties
  • Attention to detail with an ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience diagnosing faults and performing effective operational equipment / machine maintenance
  • Hands on experience with manual, semi-automated and automated tools, and machines / equipment
