Project Director - High Voltage Substations

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of multiple high voltage substation projects across Australia.

About the Role:
  • Actively participate in the tender phase, providing input on constructability, developing construction methodologies, and contributing to planning and cost estimates.
  • Transition into on-site leadership during project delivery, managing all construction activities across multiple HV substation projects.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet milestones.
  • Drive a strong health and safety culture, embedding awareness into all operations.
  • Manage project scope, ensuring variations are documented and approved before execution.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent delivery.
  • Monitor cost, schedule, and productivity, implementing corrective actions where needed.
About You:
  • 10+ years' experience in project management/supervision, with proven expertise in high voltage substations (135, 330, 500kV).
  • A strong background in civil, structural, and electrical works for major energy infrastructure.
  • Diploma or trade qualification (Engineering degree highly regarded).
  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in both tender development and on-site project execution.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
