About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at x15ventures, a venture-scaler powered by CommBank. As a key member of our Platform Operations team, you will be responsible for driving reliability, scalability, and innovation in our IT infrastructure and Service Management processes.

You will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to support our IT and business strategy, leveraging your expertise in software engineering, IT operations, and systems reliability. Your excellent communication skills and ability to understand strategy will enable you to define the roadmap for delivery and execute on it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex distributed systems with API design and integration
  • Set up modern DevOps using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
  • Implement containerization tools such as Docker, EKS, and ECS
  • Monitor and optimize system performance using ELK stack and other monitoring tools
  • Collaborate with the assurance team and risk team to ensure performance meets customer and regulatory needs
Requirements
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on IT operations and systems reliability
  • Proven experience with public cloud provisioning using IaC such as Bicep, Terraform, and Cloud Formation
  • Knowledge of containerization tools, monitoring tools, and services
  • Experience with Bash and PowerShell scripting
  • Source control and configuration as code using Ansible and Terraform
  • AWS and Azure Certification highly regarded
