Financial Analyst - Relationship Manager

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in a relationship manager role. As a key member of our Large-cap portfolio, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with public and private companies, focusing on Australian and New Zealand headquartered firms.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in credit analysis, financial modeling, and knowledge of banking products. They will also possess excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. A motivated team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of working with various stakeholders is essential.

You will work closely with business partners and product specialists across Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, Treasury Services, and Risk Management to identify cross-selling opportunities and support ongoing client needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with bankers to originate and generate new banking opportunities from prospective and existing clients.
  • Assessing and reviewing client profiles, credit risks, and handling structuring and documentation of credit requests.
  • Working with credit underwriting teams on client and credit risk analysis, transaction structuring, and documentation.
  • Serving as a primary contact for existing clients, managing day-to-day inquiries.
  • Supporting the deal team in generating financing, corporate finance, treasury services, and market opportunities.
  • Reviewing complex financial models to assist in credit decision-making, especially for new-to-bank transactions.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Corporate Banking or Investment Banking with a focus on credit or corporate finance.
  • Strong skills in credit analysis, financial modeling, and knowledge of banking products.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Motivated team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of working with various stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, ethical, and proactive.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
