We are looking for a skilled telecommunications expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications infrastructure.
The role involves working with various technologies including WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining radio base stations, terminating Hybriflex Cables and Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers and combiners.
You will also be required to upgrade or install DC power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries and load testing. Additionally, you will configure and capture status for Hand Over Packs (HOP's) and commission and integrate RBS into the network.
Key responsibilities include conducting PIM, VSWR, sweep and fibre testing, as well as troubleshooting, replacing defective equipment and monitoring site performance. You will also be required to install and commission microwave indoor and outdoor units, and software installation, testing and commissioning of sites.
Desirable skills and qualifications include a tertiary qualification in Telecommunications or Engineering science, electronics or microprocessors, or equivalent experience as a telecommunications technician if no qualification is held.
Experience in installation, commissioning and testing of Nokia and/or Ericsson equipment is highly regarded. Current Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket, First Aid and CPR, Construction White Card and Full Manual Drivers Licence are also essential.
Able to work away from home if required, and currently located in Australia is highly desirable but not limited to.
