About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Barminco as a Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement safety training programs.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain safety performance metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Health and Safety Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Substantial understanding and working knowledge of Australian OHS legislation and industry standards.
  • Tertiary health and safety qualifications or a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.
