Public Affairs Expert

We are seeking a skilled Public Affairs Manager to shape our external environment and support commercial objectives.

This role works closely with the Director of Public Affairs to build relationships with government, industry stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers across Australia.

As part of our Public Affairs team, you will manage enterprise-wide advocacy priorities, executing engagement strategies to enhance our corporate reputation and enable stakeholder collaboration.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Support commercial objectives, reputation, and key business projects with policy positions and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Coordinate research and data analysis to inform advocacy.
  • Develop and implement forward-looking plans, preparing reports, briefs, and documents to support public affairs work.
  • Support the Director Public Affairs in developing and delivering effective public affairs strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality public policy submissions on behalf of our organisation.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build our reputation as a leader in healthcare.

What You Need

To succeed, you will require a degree-level qualification in political science, public policy, communications, legal, or business.

Experience in public affairs, government, and stakeholder relations is essential.

A deep understanding of the health sector and ability to build trusted relationships are also necessary.

Strong research, writing, and presentation skills are required, along with strategic thinking and commercial acumen.

A growth mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity will be beneficial.
