Equine Studies Lecturer Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality riding and stable management tuition for their college, horse care courses ranging from Level 1 to Level 3.

They will also contribute to the College Show, dressage competitions, educational visits and Taster Days, which may involve weekend working.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teaching Equine Studies at a specialist horse racing college
  • Delivering riding and stable management tuition
  • Supporting the College Show, dressage competitions, educational visits and Taster Days
Essential Requirements:
  • A relevant Level 3 Diploma in Horse Management or equivalent qualification
  • A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
  • An assessor qualification
  • Relevant vocational experience in the Equine industry and of working in the educational sector with young people

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.
