**Financial Specialist Role**

At a leading energy company, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a financial specialist. This role will involve providing consolidated Joint Venture financial information and analysis for the Business, including the Asset Decision Support Teams, Group Finance, Group Taxation, Treasury, Group Insurance, Production Allocation & Commercial.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly Joint Venture expenditure statements and cash call requests.
  • Preparing and posting actual and accrual journals.
  • Inputting operated and non-operated Joint Venture accounting and providing reports.
  • Efficiently generating and inputting Sales Invoices.
  • CALCULATING, lodging, and paying monthly and quarterly Overriding Royalties (ORR), Product Royalties and Primary Resource Rent Tax (PRRT).
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing audit data as required.
  • Participating in process improvement projects across Finance.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following key skills and experience:

- Qualifications in finance, commerce or accounting with CPA or CA

- Significant experience in senior financial roles within a complex commercial JV environment

- Advanced analytical skills in MS Excel

- High-level experience in SAP

- The ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance professionals

Requirements

- Current work rights in Australia (i.e., Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or eligible working visa)

- Compliance with relevant State, Territory and International Covid-19 laws and health orders
