Employment Opportunity:

Graduate Engineer

This position is available for a Graduate Engineer to work in an engineering team. As a graduate engineer, the primary role will involve performing detailed engineering calculations and designing refrigeration solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing detailed engineering calculations and designs for refrigeration systems;
  • Preparing project estimates and tender submissions;
  • Evaluating and modifying existing refrigeration systems for clients;
  • Marketing services offered by GBI including consulting, maintenance, and parts supply with a focus on customer support;
  • Managing projects, negotiating with suppliers, coordinating designs and procurement, and overseeing project administration;
  • Monitoring project costs to ensure successful completion;
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards;
  • Developing knowledge of Australian and international standards;
  • Drafting small projects using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or hand sketches;
  • Performing on-site safety and engineering audits and compiling reports;
  • Contributing to improving internal systems for engineering and project management;
  • Handling administrative duties related to engineering operations;
  • Supervising and assisting with commissioning new plants;
  • Assisting in delivering training to technical staff;
  • Supporting the service department with engineering and contracting tasks;
  • Ensuring health and safety at the workplace and cooperating with management on safety requirements;
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
