About the Role

SICE Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Systems Engineer to join our team responsible for the development, integration, testing, and commissioning of Plant Management and Control Systems (PMCS) for large-scale infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and control systems, with experience in the development, design, integration, testing, and commissioning of SCADA software and PLC-based automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical requirements review and analysis
  • Development of system functional design documentation
  • PLC software design development, system implementation, configuration, testing, and commissioning
  • Programming of PLCs code as per the design to meet system requirements and technical specifications
  • Testing and correcting errors in the PLCs code within established testing procedures and quality standards to ensure the system performs according to the specifications
  • Liaising with clients and third-party vendors on aspects of the design and construction, providing feedback or request for information to the designer
  • Review of vendor's specifications, technical information, datasheets, etc.
  • Collaborating with the local and offshore software development team in Spain during the development, testing, and commissioning activities of the project
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar field of engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in development, design, integration, testing, and commissioning of SCADA software and PLC-based automation and control systems
  • Relevant experience in the delivery of Plant Management and Control Systems (PMCS) for tunnel projects is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, or DCS technologies – Rockwell (Allen Bradley) preferable
  • Strong PLC Programming skills (e.g. Ladder, STL, Function Blocks)
