Finance Professional Job Description

Role Overview

A finance expert with knowledge in operational control, regulatory compliance and treasury management is required to support the organization's business strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly and quarterly returns to regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and implement them into reporting processes.
  • Respond to queries from regulatory bodies and auditors regarding submitted returns and reports.
  • Manage system migration to new platforms and develop new report templates.
Treasury Reporting
  • Ensure precise and timely preparation of key treasury reports and market risk reports.
  • Partner with internal teams to drive automation of Treasury reports.
Financial Management and Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end entries are posted in the general ledger as per organizational guidelines.
  • Review and approve financial reconciliation accounts substantiation for external parties.
  • Manage reconciliation between different accounting systems and communicate variances and solutions with stakeholders.
Governance and Regulatory Compliance
  • Oversight on finance control activities, monitoring suspense account and review of journal summary report.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, monitor their performance.
  • Respond to queries from management on variance analysis in relation to financial controls and reporting.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact from regulatory reporting perspective.
Conduct and Compliance
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the organization's values and code of conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the organization.
  • Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial accounting systems and the ability to manage general ledger and accounting systems.

Participation in various projects undertaken by the organization is also expected.
