Payroll Professional Required

The successful candidate will have experience in an end-to-end payroll function, with a proven track record of timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly/monthly basis. The role involves managing and updating the everyday running of the payroll system, entering and uploading timesheets, and uploading/entering weekly and monthly payroll journals into accounting packages across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Manage and update the everyday running of the payroll system
  • Entering and uploading timesheets
  • Uploading/entering weekly and monthly payroll journals into accounting packages across the business
  • Processing/lodging of monthly superannuation, redundancy, income protection, etc.
  • Staying up to date with EBA and new legislation
  • Review and respond to payroll queries
  • Assist with monthly employee reporting
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager as required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function
  • 2-5 years of experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment (400-500 employees)
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance, alongside award interpretation
  • Intermediate Excel skills preferred
  • Prior experience in Micropay or ELMO highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
