About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Swim School Programmer to join our Leisure Services team at Campbelltown City Council. As part of our Community Businesses section, we deliver customer-centric services and programs that meet the health and wellbeing needs of our growing community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide the swim school team to deliver high-quality customer-centric services to the Campbelltown community.
  • Promote, develop, implement, evaluate, and coordinate a broad range of innovative and effective centre-based aquatic programs.
  • Ensure that all Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Risk Management requirements are met within the Swim School program areas.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the swim school program, including bookings, retention rates, and payments for all aquatic-based programs.
Requirements
  • Current industry-recognised Learn to Swim Instructor Certificate (AUSTSWIM, RLSSA, Swim Australia).
  • Possess qualifications in any of the following: AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics; AUSTSWIM Teacher of Adults; AUSTSWIM Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes and/or AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion; or equivalent.
  • Current Resuscitation Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Current and cleared Working With Children Check with Services NSW.
  • Demonstrated understanding in Work, Health and Safety practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining relevant industry regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of coordinating and planning aquatic-based programs.
  • Willingness to work a roster with early start and late finish shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Commitment to living our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, trust, and optimism.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Contraindication Certificate upon commencement.

  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Weekly salary between $1,000 - $1,200 (+ weekend penalties).
