The role involves taking meal orders, preparing patient food trays, beverages, and basic food preparation. This includes preparing special dietary meals for patients as directed by relevant managers.

You will also maintain cleanliness within the department, adhering to food safety, infection control, and hospital standards while delivering exceptional quality and service to customers and patients.

In this position, you will report to the Hotel Services Manager and collaborate with a positive and respected team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

">

To excel in this role, you will require attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Your capacity to prioritize tasks effectively will enable you to manage your time efficiently.

Prior experience in a prep kitchen or hospital environment is beneficial, along with knowledge of food safety and hygiene principles, compliance with HACCP, and Workplace Health and Safety.

A Certificate III in Health Support Services and a Food Handling Certificate are highly desirable for this position. Understanding of food allergies and special diets would be advantageous.
