Job Opportunity: Facilities Management Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the management of our facilities and buildings. As a Facilities Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance plan, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the safe and well-maintained condition of our public amenities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a thorough maintenance strategy for council owned and managed civic buildings, community halls and facilities, kindergartens, open space structures, recreation facilities, and other public assets.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify opportunities to integrate facilities maintenance functions across various asset maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate and undertake maintenance analysis, including responding to customer and community requests, determining responsibility for works, estimating costs, and specifying the work required.
  • Oversight all aspects of facility maintenance, including scheduling, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.

Key Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management, Project Management or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated experience in facility management (minimum 5 years).
  • Highly developed management skills, including leadership, financial management, performance improvement skills, and the ability to contribute to a successful team.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate, problem-solve, and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget management, project management, and contract management.
