We are seeking an experienced Culinary Professional to join our team as a Cook. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for preparing fresh and nutritious meals that cater to the dietary requirements of our residents.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly disposition, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Prepare meals for aged care residents that accommodate dietary requirements.
- Prepare texture modified diets, supplements, and maintain awareness of allergens/intolerances.
- Update resident dietary information/records.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and ensure services are provided in accordance with our Food Safety Program.
- Efficiently manage stock control.
- Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Food Safety Standards.
- Completion of a HACCP course is desirable.
- A good insight into the health, social, or aged care services industries is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer service skills.
- Experience in the Aged Care Industry is desirable.
- Basic understanding of MS Office Suite.
- A current Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care or willingness to obtain.
