Heavy Machinery Operator Role Overview

As a Heavy Machinery Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment with different attachments, feeding a shredding machine, and moving metal to various areas of the yard.

  • Operating cranes via different attachments (clamp, magnet, and shears)
  • Feeding belt with metals for shredding machine
  • Moving metal to different areas of the yard
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Manual handling up to 20kgs
  • General labouring/cleanup of workspace

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires strong physical abilities as well as good manual dexterity skills. The successful candidate must also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated/proven experience as an Excavator Operator
  • Forklift License required
  • Physically fit, able to lift up to 20kgs
  • PPE
  • Must successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol test
  • Experience in manual process working
  • Be physically fit for manual work
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Must have full working rights
