About the Role:

Housing Plus is a leading non-profit community services organization providing housing, domestic violence, homelessness, and other community services in New South Wales.

We are currently seeking a Community Services Support Worker to join our team in Orange. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering best practice support services to individuals at risk of and experiencing homelessness and/or domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver support services to clients in a safe and respectful manner
  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify and achieve their goals
  • Provide information and referrals to clients as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the team

Requirements:

  • Experience in the community services sector or studying in the area
  • Sensitivity to the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds

  • Ability to work independently
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Check

Classification and Salary:

The Support Worker is classified as a Level 3.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $74,002 gross per annum (full-time equivalent). This will increase on an annual basis in line with the pay points in the Award.
