Administrative Support Role: Business Operations
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic front office team. As a skilled and flexible Business Office Clerk, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to patients and their families upon arrival at the hospital.
In this role, you will assist reception, administration, and clinical teams by coordinating clerical needs from admission to discharge for patients. You will also provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors, and other staff and departments.
The key responsibilities of this job include:
- Ensuring effective admission scheduling processes to optimize bed management.
- Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the front desk efficiently.
- Providing detailed and accurate information to patient inquiries, visitor requests, and internal staff queries.
- Collaborating with medical staff, colleagues, patients, and visitors to ensure a seamless hospital experience for patients.
- Compiling and managing patient admission papers and clinical notes effectively.
To excel in this position, you will need excellent customer service skills, ability to manage a busy environment, empathy, and strong communication skills. Comfortable working in a diverse healthcare environment with various professionals and staff.
You will also bring:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience in medical administration or reception is beneficial but not essential:
- Familiarity with Patient Management Systems, preferably Meditech, advantageous but not mandatory.
