About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team at a leading Australian engineering consultancy. As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical and instrumentation designs, adhering to Australian Standards and specifications
  • Design and draft LV and HV systems, MCCs, and Switchrooms
  • Take ownership of electrical design projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality
  • Manage document control, responsible for developing and maintaining deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with a team of designers and engineers to deliver high-quality projects

Requirements

  • Previous experience in electrical/instrumentation design and drafting using AutoCAD
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is desirable
  • Qualifications in electrical engineering are desirable
  • Background in a utilities industry in a design capacity is essential
  • Strong understanding of Australian and industry codes and standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
