The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy diesel engines, as well as attending to breakdowns in the field.

Salary:

Competitive salary with mine site allowance, overtime paid at penalty rates + bonus + super. Estimated annual salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000

About the Role:

We have opportunities for talented Field Service technicians to join our team specialising in engine repairs and maintenance for our Mackay branch. In this role, you will make an impact by completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products, diagnosing and repairing engines, inspecting and replacing components as required, and engine rebuilding and reconditioning.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field, on an on-call roster
  • Diagnose and repair engines
  • Inspect and replace components as required
  • Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
Requirements:
  • Rlevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
  • Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred
