Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Belt Splicing Specialist to join our team at Quality People and Training Solutions. As a key member of our conveyor maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality belt splicing and repairs on site at various client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct conveyor belt splicing and repairs according to industry standards and client specifications.
  • Perform belt installations, vulcanising, and mechanical splicing as required.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose conveyor belt issues, recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Perform general conveyor maintenance and inspection on conveyor belts and associated components.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Belt Splicer or similar role in the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, belt splicing techniques, and repair methods.
  • Proficiency in vulcanising and mechanical splicing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.

  • MR Drivers Licence
  • Forklift Licence
  • Dogging Certificate
  • Rigging Certificate
  • EWP
  • Confined Space / Working at Heights

  • Competitive hourly rate: up to $50 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Overtime - Time and a half for the first two hours - Double time thereafter
