Mt. Private Hospital, a leading private provider of cardiology and cardiac surgery in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Patient Safety Advocate and Quality Improvement Specialist to join our Quality & Risk Team.

\

This role is accountable for end-to-end coordination of patient-related feedback and complaints, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of patient safety, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, investigating, and responding to patient complaints and feedback\
  • Recommending actions to support implementation of quality improvement initiatives, projects, and activities\
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote risk management and quality improvement programs\
  • Participating in all accreditation processes and maintaining accreditation standards\
  • Contributing to clinical data collection, analysis, and presentation\
  • Coordinating case review investigations and ensuring timely resolution of patient concerns\\[
  • Staying up-to-date with national safety and quality healthcare standards (NSQHS) and licensing regulations\\[
  • Developing and implementing effective quality improvement strategies to enhance patient experience and outcomes\\[
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality goals and objectives\\[
  • Fostering open communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery\\[
  • Continuously evaluating and improving quality improvement processes and procedures\\[
  • Conducting root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement and developing corrective action plans\\[
  • Providing education and training to staff on quality improvement principles and best practices\\[
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness\\[
  • Managing quality metrics and reporting progress to senior leadership\\[
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards\\[
  • Engaging with external partners and stakeholders to advance quality improvement initiatives\\[
  • Staying current with emerging trends, research, and innovations in quality improvement and patient safety\\[
  • Other duties as assigned by senior management\
