As a Theatre Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's theatre department.

This is a full-time position that requires a positive attitude, love working in a team, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient assistance and transfers, including the use of lifting machines and bed movers.
  • General housekeeping duties such as cleaning beds, organizing linen, restocking equipment, and waste management.
  • Removing dirty linen and ensuring clean linen is available.
  • Operating in line with WHS policies and procedures.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients.
  • Creating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients.
  • Supporting all work tasks as an active team member.

Essential Criteria:

  • Australian work authority
  • Prior experience as a theatre orderly or in a hospital environment
  • Vaccination and serology records prior to commencement
  • Working with Children check
  • Commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail

This role requires a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain confidentiality when required.
