This role is a key opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to drive and execute strategic initiatives in a dynamic mining business.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing data analysis and reporting requirements, developing relationships with suppliers, and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes.

  • Analyzing and reporting on supplier performance, supply chain risks, and procurement activities.
  • Developing and implementing sourcing and negotiation strategies.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and end users to understand their requirements and provide guidance on buying and procurement decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong background in leading procurement processes through effective management and/or facilitation to achieve desired outcomes at lowest overall cost and best value for money.
  • A consultative approach to managing and driving tangible change.
  • Proven experience in a mining environment (preferably with a contractor background).
  • Strong exposure to ERP systems, EDI, and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills with a range of suppliers and stakeholders.
